CCL is a global leader in the construction industries. From more than 20 sites across five continents, the company specialises in post-tensioned and pre-tensioned concrete technology, and is a leading supplier of prestressed concrete solutions for large structures including bridges, turbines, stadia and buildings.
Over the past seven years, Grey Matter has worked as an extension of CCL’s marketing team, developing a strong and consistent international brand that is recognised from the Middle East to North America, and from Central America to Scandinavia, and throughout Europe.
Initially looking for a brand refresh, Grey Matter created a clean, contemporary identity that worked across all print and digital channels. We delivered a new corporate website for the company and, as the group has grown through acquisitions, we have delivered a further six corporate websites.
For all but one of these websites, we applied the core CCL branding to ensure consistency and to continue to build brand awareness throughout the world, incorporating localised imagery to reflect the company’s promise of ‘regional expertise’.
For digital and print materials, we handle content in many different languages, which requires an exceptional level of attention to detail and a thorough review and sign-off process.
As is expected from a company of CCL’s size and capabilities, there is regular demand for new collateral to promote its ever-increasing range of solutions and services. Our creative team has crafted a flexible design structure that can accommodate a range of layouts and image styles.
This means, for instance, that a brochure for a single product can display one key image across the grid, whereas for a service or location-based brochure, a collection of photos can be displayed in that same layout. This technical detail means that the full range of collateral in CCL’s library is consistent in style, and instantly recognisable as being part of the CCL family.
Grey Matter has been a key partner to CCL in their attendance at exhibitions and trade fairs around the world. We have project managed their stand at Bauma in Germany – the world’s leading trade fair for the construction industry – for several years, meaning we don’t just design exceptional exhibition materials, we join the team for the duration of the event, to set up and maintain the appearance of the stand at all times.
We have developed a close working relationship with marketing colleagues at CCL through being creative and responsive, and truly understanding the bigger picture and CCL’s ambitious approach to growth. As a result, we are trusted and relied upon to develop and maintain the company’s brand identity at an international level.
